A message from Museum Webmaster Devra Hall Levy

The Virtual Psychoanalytic Museum starts in the Entry Hall where you will see links to each Gallery as well as to a Welcome Message from the Museum Director. If you move your mouse around the screen you will see a geometric shadow appear over the areas that are links. Simply click to go there. Once you are in a Gallery, you can Return to the Entry Hall using the self-named link toward to bottom-left of your screen.

Each Gallery contains links to the individual Exhibits as well as to the Welcome Message from the Gallery Curator. Sometimes the Curator’s message is an overview of the Gallery and other times it might be an exhibit in itself. Again, if you move your mouse around the screen you will see a geometric shadow appear over the areas that are links. Simply click to go there.

NEW: We have added a menu to the top of every page – this will allow you to jump directly to any gallery or exhibit page without having to go back repeatedly to the museum or exhibit’s entry page. Also, clicking on the VPM logo just below the menu bar will take you back to the museum’s Entry Hall.

Some Exhibits begin with a small pop-up window in which you will find a link to Continue.  Other Exhibits begin straightaway on a new web page.

For those Exhibits that include video, just click on the arrow inside the video box to begin playing. Some video files are larger than others so you might have to wait a minute for the file to fully load.

The Museum Director and Curators want to hear your comments. At the very bottom of each exhibit page you will see a Leave A Reply box. Enter your thoughts and click Post Comment. Two things you need to be aware of: 1) Your comments will be attached to the exhibit page on which you entered your thoughts. 2) All comments are moderated to protect visitors from wading through spam comments. This means that your comment will not be visible to the world until the Curator approves it.
